Welcome to Prairie's Summer Cybercamp!
Cyber camp will be held in the BMS Prairie Library Media Center from 8am-10am.
I am Mrs. Woods - one of the technology "experts" in the middle school. I can reached at
**jwoods@cusd220.org**.
We'll spend the next 4 weeks having fun and getting to experiment with a lot of new technologies, such as web 2.0 tools, video, digital storytelling, podcasting and more.

The first few days of class, we will earn our Digital Driver's License- which will prepare us for a society full of technology.

To earn our license, we must become good digital citizens and learn appropriate and responsible behavior in regards to technology use.

Now that we have our license, we are going to learn how to find information on the internet. We are going to explore some resources available on our Prairie Library Website, including subscriptions databases, online resources and the library blog.
We are also going to learn about searching strategies using the internet smart keyword searching.

The class has decided to do a movie-making project. We looked at ideas from Mr. Doles website and some of the work that BHS students have done in the BHS video production class. We also looked at some superbowl commercials on Youtube for ideas to parody a commercial. On Friday we will start by brainstorming ideas, making a storyboard and script, assigning roles, filming, directing and editing. We will also be having a "Fun Friday" party with a WII tournament and treats.
